Abstract Submission

Please select one of these three options when you submit your initial abstract that is approximately 500 words in length.

You can choose from three options of oral and poster presentations to apply to participate in COMODIA 2025 with a technical presentation:

1. Oral Presentation: Manuscript (6 - 10 pages with your copyright-transfer form)

You may submit a manuscript of 6-10 pages in length, along with a completed copyright transfer form. Your manuscript will be reviewed by the Technical Committee who will determine if is appropriate for a COMODIA presentation and provide feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.

2. Oral Presentation: Extended summary (2 pages without a copyright-transfer form)

Alternatively, you may submit two pages extended summary (without a copyright transfer form) and the Technical Committee will review it to judge whether it is appropriate for a COMODIA presentation and also to confirm the quality of the work.

3. Poster Presentation: Extended summary (2 pages without a copyright-transfer form)

You may submit two pages extended summary (without a copyright transfer form) and the Technical Committee will review it to judge whether it is appropriate for a COMODIA presentation and also to confirm the quality of the work.

Selected presentations will be invited to submit it to the COMODIA 2025 special issue of International Journal of Engine Research (IJER).

Presentation Awards

Young speakers at COMODIA, who are JSME members or member candidates, will become candidates for "Best Presentation Award of the Engine Systems Division" and "JSME Fellowship Outstanding Presentation Award for Young Engineers".

Requirements for candidates
Best Presentation Award of the Engine Systems Division
The speaker is a JSME member and 35 years old or younger at the time of the presentation.
JSME Fellowship Outstanding Presentation Award for Young Engineers
The speaker is a JSME member and under 26 years old as of April 1, 2026.
